Can anyone attend? Absolutely yes! You are welcome to attend. When you come, please drop by the visitor’s desk to let us know about your visit and allow us to give a small token of appreciation to you.
What does “church” look like at Calvary Temple? Well if you’re referring to our Sunday morning service, let us give you a brief snapshot as to what you could expect. We want to make your visit an enjoyable experience!
Our services begin at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.. At the front door, there should be some friendly people to say “hello”, answer any questions you have and direct you to the Information Desk if you need more information. You are welcome to seat yourself on the main floor or in the balcony. There is no reserved seating so please feel free to sit where you wish.
If you have kids (ages 2-12), bring them with you into the service, and at around 11:20, Pastor Bruce will dismiss the children in their respective Sunday school classes. Your kids will enjoy their age-appropriate and exciting class! (Please go with them the first time, so you will know where to pick them up at the end of the service). Nursery is available (ages 0-2) throughout the service. You will find this on the third floor.
Our time together usually begins with some music, followed by a welcome, a time of prayer, and a message from the Pastor. The message, based upon the Bible, is usually about 30 minutes long and we do our best to make the messages interesting, challenging, and relevant to daily life. If we do our jobs right, you'll hear solid Christian theology in intelligent, understandable and relevant terms. And hopefully, you'll laugh at times and maybe feel a tug at your heart too.
What is the offering basket all about? During the service, the offering baskets are passed among the congregation. Our regular attendees put in their contributions for the support of the work of the church. As our guest we want you to feel welcome, with no pressure to give.
Is there a dress code? You will notice that people wear a wide array of clothing styles. Please come in what you’re comfortable.
