Church-Family Membership Dear friend, We are so glad that you are interested in our church-family membership!  We invite you to join us in a series of four classes. We encourage all people who wish to serve and get involved at Calvary Temple to become church-family members.  Many people have taken these classes and share that this is one of their most uplifting, encouraging and challenging experiences! We believe this will be the same experience for you!  It is our prayer that you will clear your schedule and join us for this class. For most people, joining a church, learning how to get involved, can be overwhelming and somewhat confusing. We want to encourage your involvement by providing answers to all your questions. Your first steps are to: 1) fill in the application: (click to view and print):   adult application; junior application (ages 16-17) 2) hand in the application (to the info desk on Sundays or the church office during the week), and 3) register for the 101 class: call us or register online and mark the days for the classes in your calendar Click to view our 2008 dates & times of classes Some of the benefits of the classes are: Getting to know other people in a unique and powerful way.  In four sessions Calvary Temple will be changed for you from the “big” church you attend to a place where you worship with people you know. Getting to know people of Calvary Temple’s leadership more personally. Understanding more about Calvary Temple’s views on matters of faith and vision. (Membership 101) You will find this to be a safe place to ask questions. Being challenged in your spiritual life. (Membership 201) Remember the fitness tests you had to take in Phys. Ed class to see how fit you were?  Well, let’s put a spiritual spin on that. This session is devoted to spiritual fitness.  Each participant does a personal spiritual fitness quiz that is challenge and will encourage growth. Discovering your “SHAPE” to serve here at Calvary Temple. (Membership 301) Come to find what this acronym means by doing a personal inventory of your spiritual gifts, personality and abilities, etc.  It is our prayer that each person leaves this class saying “You have made me wonderfully, Lord. Your works are wonderful, and I know that full well!” Understanding the significance of the church-family membership covenant and the privileges and responsibilities therein. Watch the bulletin announcements or call the church office to find out when the next series of membership classes will begin. Sorry, no child care is provided. If you have children, it might be most convenient to register for the classes that are on Sunday mornings at the 11:00 hour when Sunday School meets.
