Weekly "What’s Up"
from Pastor Bruce Martin

Posted August 5, 2022

Welcome to the community of believers known as Calvary Temple Church.

I trust you are enjoying these summer months. We are heading into our last month here as lead pastors of Calvary Temple. We continue to trust God in this transition period. I was wondering how I could clean out my office. It was suggested that I invite all who are interested to my “open office days” on Wednesday August 17th to Friday August 19th from 1-3pm.  If you would like to come and choose a free gift from my office by way of books, commentaries or other treasures I welcome you to come and go as you are able during these times.

Also, I’ve been asked to remind you that our last Sunday as Lead Pastors here at Calvary Temple is August 28th.  We would like to make you aware that everyone will be joining together for family services in the Main Sanctuary including all fellowships, children and youth.  We will also be enjoying times of fellowship together in the lobby.  Come at your regular time and enjoy fellowship and a shortened service.

This week I continue in our “Never-Ending Story” Bible series with the third of four sermons on the New Testament letters.

Thank you for joining us in prayer this week for Rowandale Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan (Jennifer) Kroeker.  This week our Mission’s Focus is Bill & Shirley Pipke.

Due to technical complications we are unable to offer the Hybrid prayer service on Zoom.  Going forward the Prayer Meeting will be in the Green Room (prayer room off sanctuary stage) IN PERSON ONLY on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m.  Everyone is welcome.

This is your last chance to sign up for our Believer’s Baptism Service being held on August 14th at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary.  If you’d like to be baptized, please click here to register.  We’d like to encourage you as a church family to come on out and support and celebrate with those who are choosing this next step in their relationship with Jesus by professing their faith publicly.

I’ve been made aware that our Tin for the Bin cupboard is looking bare at this time. If you’d like to donate non-perishables in the bins in the lobby, we’ll make sure they get into the hands of those in our community who are in need.
