Weekly "What’s Up"
Posted December 2, 2022
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Some people think it’s the most “work-ful” time of the year. And for some, it is. Yet, there seems to be a spirit of joy and goodwill among all the hustle and bustle.
I enjoy the Christmas season. For people who hold the Christian faith, Christmas is full of meaning. So many aspects of Christmas point toward Christ, who was born for us. Consider giving gifts to those we love, it reminds us of the greatest gift ever given. I confess that I often try to come up with a simple, swift solution to my gift-giving responsibilities or even ask my wife to help me select my gifts, except hers. But the first Christmas gift was not the last minute, spur-of-the-moment response. The planning that went on for God to give us the perfect gift (Christ) inspires awe.
Join us this Sunday as I start the Christmas series entitled, “The Christmas Experience” – what Christmas teaches us. We hope the songs and the sermon will add much to your Christmas experience.
Please remember our Believer’s Prayer Meeting continues in-person and online on Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room/Green Room. If you’d like to receive the zoom link please e-mail Pastor Cher at firstname.lastname@example.org Our Online Bible Study continues on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
We also continue with the opportunity to give financially towards GodZone Christmas Hampers. We want to bless every GodZone family with a little extra help this Christmas. If you feel led to give, please designate on your giving “GodZone Hampers” or you can bring toilet paper to the church to contribute that way.
