Weekly "What’s Up"
from Pastor Bruce Martin

Posted October 15, 2021

This weekend, in all Sunday’s services it will be my pleasure to introduce Kelsey who has come to join her husband, Pastor John as a part of our ministry team.  We already feel God’s confirmation as to the fit of this couple in our youth ministry.  I want to publicly thank Becky Clarke who stepped in to keep Impact going strong and connected during Covid.

Regarding our Covid protocols, we continue to be open for everyone in our three Sunday morning gatherings at 33% capacity, with physical distancing and the wearing of masks.

This Sunday’s message is from Isaiah 58.  I’ve been mulling over this passage for a few weeks and feel God has a word for all of us.

I invite you to visit our “Click to Connect” page on our website to see what is available for connection this fall.

Our Weekly Prayer Focus this week is New Beginnings Church with Pastor Ivan (Sherrie) Blakney.  Our Shared Funding Partners are Gary & Marina Cymbaluk.  I look forward each week to praying for another church in our city and also one of our shared funding partners.  Thank you for continuing to support our shared funding partners financially week-by-week.  We want to finish the year strong in our commitments to all of our partners.

Our Saturday Morning Prayer Service continues in-person and online.  If you’d like to join us online, please e-mail Pastor Cher at cpaulson@ctwinnipeg.com to receive this week’s link and prayer list in your e-mail Friday afternoon. If you would like to call in from a phone, call the church office for directions.

This week the scaffolding went up to begin work on the Heritage Tower on the corner of Cumberland and Hargrave.  This being a treasured piece of Canadian church history, Heritage Winnipeg has weighed in and together municipally and provincially their financial contribution is $46,500 with the total cost coming in at $90,000.  That’s where you and I come into play.  As a church family we get to contribute approximately half of this restoration.  Please consider designating “Tower Restoration” in your giving.  It would be so nice to see us match the government grant portion before the year’s end.  What a privilege to invest in this historic landmark of Manitoba.

If you would like to participate with Samaritan’s purse and Operation Christmas Child, please go to packabox.ca or pick up a box in the lobby (details included in pamphlet that comes with box).

This weekend you will hear how you can be involved in our Community Connections Team.  Please listen for the announcement, then click here to register or find us in the lobby on Sunday.

Our Church Family monthly Prayer and Fasting day is happening this coming week, Thursday, October 21st.  We invite you to join us from wherever you are or in person in the Buntain Chapel from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Come when you can, leave when you must.

Thank you church family!

In His service,
